Great War Roll of Honour (1915)

First Ballymena Presbyterian Church

The following text is transcribed from the Ballymena Weekly Telegraph of 24th April 1915.

In our last issue we gave the "Roll of Honour" of St. Patrick's Church, Ballymena, setting forth the names of the young men belonging to that church who had responded to the call of "King and country." This week we append the roll of honour of First Ballymena Presbyterian Church, of which Rev. Thomas Haslett, M.A., is the esteemed minister, and it will be seen therefrom that the young manhood of that congregation has also given of its best in the same sacred cause. The list, unfortunately, contains the name of more than one who has already paid the full price of patriotism, but it is some consolation to those who mourn them to know that they died while gallantly fighting for their country in the hour of its greatest need. We append the roll of honour of this church up to date, giving as far as possible in each instance the home address, regiment, or ship:--
